The websites, Well-being Zone and Social Work Focus, are owned and managed by Avenue Media Solutions, a division of Avenue Consulting Ltd. Definitions ‘We’ refers to Avenue Media Solutions; ‘the sites’ refers to Well-being Zone (www.well-beingzone.com) and Social Work Focus (www.socialworkfocus.com). ‘Member’ refers to registered users of either or both sites. ‘The material’ refers to all the information, data, text, graphics, links or computer code published, contained or available on either site. Data protection, security and privacy Avenue Consulting Ltd is committed to the protection of members’ privacy. Information supplied by members is collected for use in improving our websites and the effective administration thereof and, where appropriate, for providing a personalised experience for the member. No details will be released to third parties outside Avenue Consulting Ltd/Avenue Media Solutions without the express permission of the member. Members can opt out of receiving newsletters/bulletins/e-zines, but will continue to be informed by email of any significant changes to the operation of either or both sites. In accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1988, we follow strict security procedures on the storage and disclosure of information supplied to prevent unauthorised access. We are obliged by law to hold accurate information. Any member has the right to be told under the Data Protection Act 1988 what personal information is held on them. If the accuracy of the data we hold is challenged, we shall respond within 40 days. A £10 charge, as set by law, will apply. Sensitive information is suitably protected both online and manually. Credit card payments are processed through PayPal. Security of this is not guaranteed. Losses incurred by transmission of information by e-mail are the sender’s sole responsibility. While we will make every reasonable effort to make the sites virus free, we cannot accept liability for viruses transmitted through either site. We recommend that members and guests to either site use appropriate safeguards before downloading. Members who join the Facebook and/or YouTube groups associated with the sites or the Twitter facilities will be subject to the privacy and security arrangements of those providers. We cannot take responsibility for security matters on other providers’ sites. All statistical and personal information is treated as confidential and is stored on a secure server. There will be limited access to personal information; the administrator will not access, modify or otherwise divulge personal information unless the member concerned has authorised it or unless acting in good faith in the belief that such action is necessary to: (i) conform to legal requirements or legal process (fraud prevention/reducing credit risk); (ii) protect and defend the rights and property of Avenue Consulting Ltd.; (iii) enforce agreements with customers and visitors; or (iv) deal with any service-related problems that may arise. Site usage data will be presented only in aggregate form and specific site data will not be used without permission. Site usage data includes IP address, geographical location, browser type, referral source, length of visit, number of page views. All reasonable technical and organisational precautions will be taken to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information. Each member is responsible for keeping their password and member details confidential and for updating personal information. Our privacy policy can be altered at any time to comply with data protection regulation requirements. Intellectual copyright The copyright in the material contained on the sites and the site design, text and graphics, and their arrangement and selection belongs to Avenue Consulting Ltd. All rights are reserved. None of this data can be reproduced without written permission. Single copies may be downloaded or printed for personal off-line viewing. Members retain ownership of all copyright in data they submit to the website. Submission grants Avenue Consulting Ltd a world-wide, royalty-free, non-terminable licence to use, copy, distribute, publish and transmit such data in any manner. Accuracy Reasonable efforts will be made to ensure accuracy of data on the website and to correct errors or omissions as soon as is practicable after being notified. Payment Where payment is required we will explicitly say so. Where an invoice is issued it will state the terms, including how many days to pay. Purchasers will be charged at the rates effective at the time such charges were incurred. Applicable taxes must be paid. If payment fails to be settled within the stipulated time, interest will be charged (accrued daily & compounded monthly). Under the late payments legislation, compensation for late payment will also be chargeable. Access to either or both sites can be suspended until payment is settled. Use of cookies A cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer which contains specific information about you. Once you close your browser, the cookie no longer operates. Cookies are helpful because they prevent you having to re-enter your password and they help to keep track of shopping basket contents. They also give us information about patterns of usage which may enable us to personalise the service we offer you. If you disable this feature when accessing either or both of our sites, you will still be able to use the site, but some features may not function correctly. For example, you would not be able to access the member area of the site. Registration In order to receive e-mail alerts and other benefits, members have to complete a registration form. During registration a member is required to give contact information (name, e-mail etc). This information is used to contact the member about the services on the site for which they have expressed interest. A username and password must be chosen to register as a member. These must be used to access some areas of the site. The username and password are not transferable. Each member is responsible for payments due using that username and password. Any breach of security involving the improper use of the username and password should be reported to us immediately. Right to modify terms or terminate service Members may end their membership at any point by using the Contact Us facility on the top menu. It is helpful, but not necessary, to provide a reason for terminating membership. Avenue Media Solutions reserves the right to modify the terms of service or to terminate the service at any time.
